National Defense Authorization Act
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) contained a novel supply chain requirement, banning numerous non-U.S. technology components from the defense industrial base.
Phalanx promoted its client’s supply chain solution for successful review and approval by the U.S. General Services Administration’s Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) function.
Simplification:
Introduction of the so-called Huawei Ban in the John McCain National Defense Authorization Act implicated potentially hundreds of technology supplier and disrupted numerous defense industrial base supply chains. Seeking to comply, many industry actors engaged in costly supply chain screening and revisions.
Phalanx reimagined the requirement. Foregoing the relative ease of self-certification, phalanx escalated the question of compliance to the GSA SCRM. This disruptive engagement resulted in the client’s technology products and services being found to be compliant in their current form, eliminating a more costly supply chain disruption.
